A Different Perspective
A significant change is happening around us, can you feel it? The World, as we once knew it will never be the same. I have seen the statement floating around our digital World lately with the wish for “things to go back to normal…” but “normal” wasn’t working. Our “normal” was an imbalanced system that we were forced to race through, resulting in an overworked, overstressed, overwhelmed, unhealthy society, and an unhealthy Earth. Maybe not everyone noticed or felt this, yet we all experienced imbalance one way or another, undeniably it was there.
Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, states, “Change is the only truth in the Universe.” We must be open to change, to evolve, to grow. If we continue to do the same thing over and over but expect a different result, isn’t that the definition of insanity?
Our inner being has always been in tune with Nature; our natural instincts are primal. Nature influences us in many ways; seasonally, how we work, eat, and even rest. When illness arises, and we experience a “dis-ease,” there is a message trying to come to us and will remain persistent until we see it.” This same statement applies as we are one and the same; when the Earth is imbalanced, there is a message trying to come to us and will remain persistent until we see it. Look deep into the bigger picture. In our bodies, the indication of a common cold signifies an imbalance in our body and produces a primary signal that our body needs to clean itself and rest itself. The Earth has been trying to tell us she needs these same things. Over polluted, imbalanced, and in seek of harmony. No different than our human hopes of being stress-free and more balance in our lives. We are one with Earth more than we realize.
The “rat race” World that we once lived in, just slowed down. This shift created more time. More “quality” time for ourselves, our loved ones, and more time for the “things” we wished we had more time. As the World slows, we have done less running on the wheel, which has created less stress and less pollution, less is more.
This step back, as some may see it, may actually be a step in the right direction. Be one with Nature. Relax the mind and body, look within and have no fear; change can be positive; it’s our attitudes that get in the way, and our footprints that make a statement.
What will your next step be?
